Pair these party favors with the perfect Spider-Man gift for the birthday celebrant!
Why Have Party Favors?
Party favors are a great way to thank your guests for attending your Spiderman birthday party! They are also a fun way to send your guests home with a little something to remember your event by.
DIY Spiderman Party Favors on a Budget
If you’re like me, you’re always looking for ways to save money without sacrificing quality. That’s why a visit to the dollar store is one of my first stops to grab party supplies!
Yes, you can find party supplies like balloons, plates, and cups, but did you know you can find Spiderman party favor items there too?
Dollar Store Spiderman Items
My local Dollar Tree had awesome choices for a Spiderman party and for so many other types of superhero parties too! If you walk down the different aisles, you’ll find way more than just a few Spiderman figurines.
Dollar Tree has Spiderman figurines, puzzles, and silly string in the toys section. They also have comic books, coloring books, paperweights, and stickers in the office supplies section.
And, near the checkout aisle, there’s a basket of magic Spiderman towels. WOW!
The items are spread out throughout the store in different sections so be sure to look around so you don’t miss out!
Needless to say, I chose a few Spiderman items kids love, a few gift bags, and sunglasses (to make DIY Spiderman sunglasses) and got started.
DIY Spiderman Party Favors Tutorial
These party favors are affordable and easy to put together. You can save money and still show your guests a good time!
Depending on the ages of those attending your Spiderman birthday party, you may choose to add different age-appropriate items.
In my case, I ended up making two different types of party favor bags. One kind for toddlers and another for children (ages 5+).
What to Buy
There are so many great ideas out there but I decided to include fun things to do, something yummy to eat, and something practical.
Here’s are some things you can use to make these DIY dollar store party favor bags:
Gift Bags
- Red, blue and/or silver (I used 4″ x 6″ bags for toddlers and 8″ x 8″ bags for the kids)
Fun Things To Do
- 100 piece puzzles
- Comic books
- Coloring books
- Stickers
- Figurines
- FREE printable Spiderman coloring pages
- Silly string (can also be used as a web blaster game)
Something Yummy
- Red and blue colored food/snacks or Spiderman fruit snacks
- Spiderman cake bites
Something Practical
- Magic towels
- Blue or red cups
- Spiderman sunglasses
- Red and/or blue sunglasses (check out our Spiderman sunglasses tutorial)
- Fine tip Sharpie
Assembly
Now that you have all of your supplies, it’s time to put these party favor bags together!
The Bags
First, start by opening each of the gift bags. If you’re using the small bags, you’ll want to fill them with about four or five items. For the larger bags, you can fill them with up to six to eight items.
I used the smaller bags for toddlers and the larger bags for kids ages 5 and up.
Want Spiderman Bags Instead?
If you would like red Spiderman-themed bags instead of plain colored ones, you can buy them or create your own using cheap red lunch bags, a black Sharpie, and white paper. To make your own, use the Sharpie to draw web patterns on the bag and the paper to create white paper eyes.
Assembling The Party Favor Bags
Now for the fun part. Fill each bag with your favorite items!
Toddler Bags
I opted for practical items for the toddler bags since they are still young and can easily choke on toys and other items.
Item Ideas
- Spiderman magic towels
- Spiderman fruit snacks
- Spiderman cup
- Spiderman sunglasses
Feel free to choose your favorite items. The ideas are endless!
Children Bags (Ages 5+)
I decided to include a mix of items for the kids. Each bag had fun activities to do and also some practical items as well.
Item Ideas
- Spiderman comic books
- Spiderman coloring books
- FREE printable Spiderman coloring pages
- Spider stickers
- Silly string
- Spiderman puzzles
- Spiderman masks
- Spiderman magic towels
- Red/blue or Spiderman fruit snacks
- Spiderman sunglasses
Feel free to choose your favorite items for the kids. There are so many great Spiderman inspired ideas out there!
Spiderman Sunglasses
Of all the Spiderman party ideas out there, this is my favorite of the party ideas! Spiderman sunglasses are super easy to make and can serve as party decorations too!
Using a fine tip Sharpie, draw spider web patterns on red sunglasses and you’ll have a pair of Spiderman sunglasses within minutes!
Finally, hang a pair of these on each goodie bag as a cool final touch!
Final Touches
Now that you’ve assembled everything, it’s time to set up your Spiderman birthday party favor bag display!
If you picked up bags in multiple colors such as red and blue, you can create a fun table display by alternating the colored bags on the table. Add a sign thanking guests for attending. Mention that they can pick up a gift bag on their way out.
